Uptown Charlotte has witnessed many changes since I chose to make it my home in 1989. Many new restaurants and clubs have opened, creating a lively nightlife, where only a couple of establishments operated before. The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Bank of America Stadium, Spectrum Center and BB&T Ballpark draw audiences to a myriad of entertainments – from Opera Carolina and the Charlotte Symphony to the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets.
Living Uptown has changed dramatically as well. Eighteen years ago, only a few thousand residents lived within the I-277 loop. There was no Gateway Village, no First Ward Garden District, no luxury condominium development in any of the four wards and high-rise condos were unheard of. Now the sky truly is the limit. New Uptown residents can select from a variety of housing types — flats, townhomes or single-family houses. Low-rise or high-rise condos, existing or new construction, starter studio or luxury penthouse – options abound.
With so many exciting options, how do you as a home buyer navigate the field and determine the right home for your needs? How do you discover the new condo developments before the best units are sold? How do you find an existing home that fits your furniture as well as your wallet? Work with an experienced Charlotte North Carolina real estate agent who lives in and understands this specialized urban market. I have spent the last 20 years helping new and experienced purchasers to find their perfect homes in this vibrant and exciting city. I look forward to doing the same for you. Give me a call and let’s get started!
