Picking a prime pumpkin starts with a trip to the perfect patch! These five venues offer a variety of experiences to enhance your search for orange, round perfection. Bring  family, friends or your SO and enjoy a day on the farm complete with hayrides and furry animals, toast at a German beer garden, complete a corn maze – or do it all. The Hunter Farm

Get your pumpkin and furry animal fix just minutes from Charlotte. Take a wagon ride to the barn where you can pet, feed and snuggle a variety of friendly farm animals. A small pumpkin is included with each ticket or choose a larger one for a fee. Reservations are required.

Pro Tip: After you collect your pumpkin, sign up for goat yoga offered during the fall months.

Hodges Family Farm

Take a road trip close to home and find beautiful things to enhance your fall decor. Go full festival mode with kettle corn, funnel cakes and other tasty treats. Stop by the farm store for one-of-a-kind gifts or get a jump on that holiday shopping list.

Hall Family Farm

If you can’t decide how to ring in the season, Hall Family Farm has lots of activities to choose from including a seven-acre corn maze, smaller corn maze, pumpkin picking, a musical hayride and lots of food.

Carrigan Farms

Each trip to the patch includes a hayride to the field and a stop at the petting zoo. Catch the food truck serving up doughnuts and cider on the weekends. Only cash and checks are accepted for the pumpkin patch and food trucks.
