Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Katie graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Public Relations in 2009. After staying in that area for a couple of years, she made the bold move to Charlotte in 2011 and instantly fell in love with its arts scene, growing skyline, cozy neighborhoods, and an overall sense of belonging. She found her place in East Charlotte where she launched a successful and fulfilling career in nonprofit administration with jobs at Charlotte Ballet, Arts+, and Queens University of Charlotte. Fueling her passion for knowledge, she earned my M.S. in Strategic Communication from Queens in 2021.

In 2023, things started to feel a little different in my life, and I began considering other career paths. My husband and I had just grown our family through adopting our daughter, and we felt our priorities start to shift. With a desire to explore a career path aligned with my personal values and aspirations, I turned my sights to real estate – a field I had always been drawn to. Through my own experience as a home owner and investor, I had already learned that it requires maintaining a wealth of knowledge to be a Realtor. So naturally, I jumped right into training without hesitation. Even in my first pre-licensing courses, I knew I had found my true calling.

I am committed to making wise financial decisions for my future, and I love helping others do the same through the home buying and selling process.  I believe that purchasing a house is about more than finding a home – it’s a decision that impacts generations to come. I want to be your trusted advisor, guiding you through every step of your real estate journey with integrity, expertise, and a genuine commitment to your long-term goals and future success.

My family has stayed in the East Charlotte area since our move in 2011, so on any given day you will find me along Monroe Road grabbing lunch at Common Market or on a coffee date at Night Swim. I love spending time with my family, which in addition to my husband and daughter includes two dogs and three cats. I serve on the board of Friends of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Services, help lead my daughter’s Girl Scout troop, and stay involved with her school’s PTA.

For me, real estate isn’t just a profession – it’s a passion. Whether you’re thinking about buying your first home, exploring investment opportunities, have questions about home values, or simply want to chat, I’m here to help. Call me today and let’s get started!
