Ice sculptures at Stowe Botanical Gardens

Step into a magical, frozen world as Daniel Stowe Conservancy transforms into a wondrous winter wonderland! Get your camera ready to take pics with 20 breathtaking, nature-themed ice sculptures.

Queens Feast
Dates: January 23-Feb. 1
Location: Multiple locations
Explore new dining destinations and rediscover your favorite eateries starting January 23. With more than 125 of the best restaurants in multiple counties around the Charlotte area, this is a great way to start the new year.
Cost: $30, $35, $40, $45, or $50 per person for 3 courses, depending on the restaurant, not including tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended.

Ice skate at the Whitewater Center
Dates: Through mid-February
Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28214
Show off your best turns and twirls on the 24,000 sq ft ice skating rink. Slide and glide around four distinct skating areas including two ice trails and two free skate zones. Warm up with a stop at the Airstream in the middle of the rink for a hot or cold beverage.
Cost: Free with all-activity pass or $25 for single activity pass

Friday Fire and S’mores
Dates: Fridays through February 27, 10:30 a.m.-Noon
Stevens Creek Nature Center, 15700 Thompson Road, Mint Hill
Feel the marshmallow magic and ask for s’more! No registration needed, just drop by the fire pit on Fridays this winter to whip up your favorite gooey, toasty fireside delight and soak in the cozy campfire vibes.

Vist Pete with the Big Feet
Dates: Open every day, dawn to dusk

Pete the Troll has taken up residence at The River District. Don’t miss the chance to see this huge living piece of art by Thomas Dambo – the world’s leading recycling artist. Visitors are encouraged to take pictures but not climb on Pete.
