Just past Southpark Mall, you will find one of Charlotte’s most popular neighborhoods with a blend of traditional and modern homes. The rolling streets, unique wooded, hilly terrain, and beautiful lawns set this neighborhood apart. Especially popular with families because of it excellent public school assignments (Myers Park included) and a fun swim club. Take a drive thru Mountainbrook and you’ll see several of Charlotte’s best examples of mid-century modern architecture. One of Charlotte’s few true Modernist homes, the P. Connor Lee House, is located on Country Ridge Road. Two wonderful MCM’s are in the bend on Johnny Cake Road and further down there is unique custom 70’s contemporary. There are also many lovely brick split levels and ranches throughout. Mountainbrook truly has something for everyone.
