Nestled in the fast growing South Charlotte area, this Blakeney studio offers over 65 yoga classes each week. They range from beginner to expert, and even has specialized classes for kids. Are you an avid runner or cyclist? Try out their “Performance Yoga For Athletes” series designed to increase range in mobility, improve mental focus and endurance, and assist in preventing overuse injuries. Yoga at the Nature Center – 2900 Rocky River Rd. Charlotte, NC 28215

Described as a “gentle” yoga class, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with nature. Enjoy the class and take advantage of Reedy Creek Nature Preserve’s picnic area, 10 miles of hiking trails, Barkingham Dog Park, and an 18-hole disc golf course. 

Y2 Yoga – 274 S. Sharon Amity Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211

This 12,000 square foot studio at Cotswold Shopping Center offers plenty of amenities beyond the usual fare, including a cafe full of healthy snacks, a coffee bar with locally roasted Magnolia Coffee, and a delicious sushi bar. If that wasn’t enough, they offer a fantastic child-care service on Friday nights. Drop you kids off, and while you take a class, they will have a healthy dinner, watch a movie, and play with their friends. 

Noda Yoga – 3201 North Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

NoDa Yoga is an all-female owned studio located in the Charlotte’s eclectic Art’s District in Noda. Being proud members of their community, owners Maria Hallowell & Jillian Longsworth want to make sure their small business contributes to the greater good. It’s with this spirit in mind that they offer full scholarships for military veterans to receive the healing benefits of yoga. Another bonus – it’s located above Cabo Fish Taco so you can grab a margarita after class!

Yoga Oasis – 2400 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28203

Located in the Historic Dilworth neighborhood, Yoga Oasis was founded in 2001 with the philosophy of, “Do what you can do within your range of motion today and then come back tomorrow and do more.” They’re goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone. Want to try something new? Check out their “Meditative Sound Journey,” an experience designed to clear away stagnant energy while embracing the sound of tribal instruments tuned to resonate with the human body.

Yoga on Tap – 4150 Yancey Road, Charlotte, NC 28217

What could be better than combining yoga and craft beer? Charlotte’s oldest brewery, Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, offers this community yoga class every Tuesday night at 6:30pm. Situated in lower South End, OMB typically holds class outside in their amazing biergarten (weather permitting, otherwise is moves indoors). Yoga for Life – 1410 W. Morehead St., Ste. 200, Charlotte, NC 28208

The winner of Charlotte Magazine’s 2014 Best of the Best award for “Best Yoga for Beginners”, this Wesley Heights studio will help you explore how yoga can influence every aspect of your life. They offer specialized “Yoga 4 Cancer” training classes to help those recovering from cancer, Prenatal Yoga for expectant mothers, and weekly meditation classes every Monday morning.
