Where to Start
“I’m originally from Asheville, NC. I moved to Charlotte in 2011, right after the financial recession. At the time I work at The Omni Grove Park Inn, and Asheville took a big hit because one of their largest industries is tourism. I worked at the Grove Park Inn through college as a cocktail waitress and then worked in the finance and accounting department.
When I moved to Charlotte, I sought out a cool neighborhood that had the same essence and feel as Asheville, and that’s how I landed in Plaza Midwood. One of the first places I ever visited in Charlotte was the Common Market! It gave me a very Asheville vibe, and I knew I loved the neighborhood.
I decided to become a real estate agent because I LOVE houses and I LOVE the neighborhoods in Charlotte. The giant willow oaks, crepe myrtles, and the darling 1940/50s cottages and bungalows stole my heart. To me, a neighborhood is alive, and each house has its own story. It’s so interesting to see how communities change over time and how real estate trends and sales play such a large role.
Prior to being a real estate agent, I worked in finance and software development. I managed a team that created automated software for financial transactions. My financial and IT background helps me in my real estate career every day.”
Where to find support
“I got my real estate license about a year and a half ago and I joined Savvy in October 2019.
I knew about Savvy + Co. for many, many years before even dreaming about getting my license. I routinely visited Savvy open houses because they always had the cutest houses with the best marketing!
