Charisma Smith

Having a deep understanding of real estate and a passion for helping my clients achieve their goals, my exceptional knowledge of the city allows me to guide and advise clients as I present homes and areas that best fit their lifestyle.  I have  built a solid foundation of clients in both the corporate and entertainment industries. I pride myself in seamlessly  guiding clients through the buying and selling process, making every transaction a smooth and positive experience.  The buying and selling of one’s home is an important decision.  It is equally important to ensure my clients recognize the value of a home as an investment while creating generational wealth.

Prior to getting my license in 2000, I worked in the banking industry as a business analyst and project manager. Working on multi-million dollar projects gave me the opportunity to hone my negotiation skills and consistently deliver business results. Prior level of expertise helps me to continue a winning track record in strategic selling, negotiating win-win deals, critical  analysis, and organization.

Originally from Chicago, I fell in love with Charlotte when I attended Johnson C. Smith University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After graduating, I decided to officially make the Queen City my home. Since then, I have loved watching the city grow and develop into the charming and thriving metropolitan city it is today. It is because of my love of Charlotte that I decided to become a real estate broker/advisor.

In addition to holding a real estate license in North and South Carolina, I am also a licensed general contractor in North Carolina.  I work with major renovation of homes in each phase — from beginning to end. Being a general contractor allows me to take a hands-on approach to development, modifying or remodeling older homes.  It also enables me to have a keen eye for interior/exterior design (I am that flip your house  real  estate advisor).

I believe in continually upgrading my education and knowledge, and being active in my community. I am a graduate of the Charlotte Regional Leadership Development Program.  In 2012, I received a certificate in Executive and Life Coaching from the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute. I have also served in a leadership capacity with the Realtor Association, community organizations and church.  Here are some of my additional affiliations and associations:

  • MLS  Board of Directors
  • Two-term president of the Diversity Council
  •        Member of the Housing Opportunity Foundation
  •        Certified in Affordable Housing Program
  •        Certified New Home Specialist
  •        Seniors Real Estate Specialist
